Participating in activities within the framework of the "2024 Culture and Tourism Week and Gong and Xoang Festival" is a cultural and tourism event aimed at preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups in Kon Tum Province in general and Kon Plong District in particular. It is one of the key tasks and also involves the accountability of local government leaders, relevant agencies, and units in the results of cultural and tourism development.

Continuing to honor and promote to domestic and international friends the potential and development of the economy, culture, and tourism of the district in the process of integration and development, contributing to the preservation and celebration of ethnic cultural identities, and fulfilling the mission of building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of the country's sustainable development.

Creating a space for artisans and artists to meet, exchange, and share experiences, raising awareness about the importance of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic groups. At the same time, providing opportunities and motivation for businesses to introduce new products, activate and expand markets, contributing to the stabilization and improvement of the living standards of the people from all ethnic groups in the province.

The 5th Culture and Tourism Week and the 2nd Gong and Xoang Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Kon Tum Province, 2024, will take place from December 11-14. As part of the festival, Kon Plong District will participate in activities at the provincial level, including: displaying, introducing, and promoting OCOP products and traditional culture; street festivals; the 2nd Gong and Xoang Festival of Ethnic Minorities; showcasing traditional cultural festivals and rituals; tuning gongs; and participating in linked activities at the district level: introducing, visiting, and experiencing tourist tours and destinations within the district; introducing local cuisine and holding a music exchange at the Mang Den Night Economic Zone; organizing some traditional sports activities.
