28/11/2024
The level, skills, and professional expertise of the workforce are always key factors in the development of tourism. In response to the growing demand and development trends in the tourism sector, Kon Plông District has actively promoted training in tourism-related professions for rural workers, aiming to meet the actual needs of the local area.

The district has directed relevant units, as well as communes and townships, to strengthen the training, workshops, and capacity-building efforts to enhance tourism skills for the local workforce.

Accordingly, 16 training courses have been organized in traditional professions, tourism, hotel reception, weaving, and making brocade for officials, rural workers, and households of ethnic minorities involved in community-based tourism in the district. These courses aimed to equip participants with tourism-related skills, such as communication skills, guest reception and service, guiding tourists, assisting locals in developing agricultural products into distinctive local goods, and preserving and promoting traditional crafts to create products that serve the needs of tourism development.

This has contributed to solving employment issues and generating income for local residents, while also improving the quality of community-based tourism products in rural areas. It is closely linked to promoting the value of traditional culture and building a professional tourism culture.
